Circle of Change

Circle of Change was an installation of 21 Pine tree logs that was presented as part of Campsite: Hudson Valley Artists 2016 at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art in New Paltz, NY in 2016. The outdoor image of the installation was featured on the exhibition poster. The artwork uses coins and logs in arrangements that reference Buddhist mandalas and other Eastern expressions of spiritual transformation, like the Wheel of Life. The specific use of coins in this context playfully comments on a Western material culture driven by wealth and acquisition.
