us

“us” is my first digital artwork and was originally created as a large, outdoor banner for display in the Fall of 2020 in response to the ongoing political divisiveness in the United States. I took advantage of the iconic design of the American flag to insert a message of love as the ultimate symbol of our union.

Images below include the us banner displayed as part of: ArtStream at ArtPort Kingston, the “Community of Peace” exhibit in New Paltz and at the Brookfield Craft Center in Connecticut.

In 2026, I decided to redesign the banner in a response to a call for billboard art. The aim is to present a message of love as the unifying force in our country -- an antidote to the ongoing divisiveness and decimation of our democratic principles in advance of the 2026 mid-term elections.
